We’ve talked about narrative storytelling on the podcast before, usually in the context of video. In this episode, I’m sharing an example of what it sounds like in a podcast. Or rather, what it feels like. Because the emotional component is key.

The story is relevant to my life science audience as it’s about an organization that funds research and clinical trials. In fact, Swim Across America funded the clinical trial that led to the approval of Merck’s Keytruda, an immunotherapy being used against several types of cancer. I created this episode for my passion project, Flip Turns, where I tell the stories of people whose lives have been changed by swimming.

This time it’s swimmers changing the lives of others.

Finally, I’ll point out that whether in an interview or narrative format, creating a podcast offers incredible opportunities for expanding your network. This is equally true for brands as it is for individuals like me. For this episode,  I interviewed seven Olympians, one International Hall of Fame Swimmer, two doctors and a three-time cancer survivor. The story they tell of this event is amazing and inspiring. I hope you’ll listen and enjoy it.
